these are the thoughts that don't make it over the bridge to tomorrow. my best laid plans die in the dark, unless i tend to them through the night. leaving me too tired to carry them out.

my greatest ideas are born at 3 in the morning.
the next day, life takes them for the marks that they are.
i'm a little disconcerted that a half awake dream i have before i wake up can, among other things, put me in a melancholy mood for the rest of the day.
note: neither scott nor i smoke. the pack of cigarettes were found in our couch when we moved in and are utilized solely for joke purposes. also, giant 52 ounce fountain drinks should be consumed only by trained professionals.
i just found out that the rapper, eyedea, died today.
i had been meaning to start a series of posts about early influences on me, specifically hip hop based influences, and the first one was gonna be about him. but i kept putting it off cause i wanted to take the proper time to express myself clearly.
maybe i'll come back later and actually do that post.
for now i'll just say that i don't think i would have ever really thought i could rap if i hadn't seen and heard eyedea.
